A Message from Father Lee Brokaw

Dear parishioners,

For those I have been blessed to meet and for those I will soon meet, thank you for the warm welcome to Galesburg! I am very blessed by this assignment and I look forward to getting to see you all in the near future. Please also pray for Fr. Rose and I as we both adjust to life under one roof at Immaculate Heart of Mary. Fr. Rose and I were both in seminary at the same time and living in the same rectory house allows for us to pray together, more intentionally share vision, and spend time together as brothers. I am excited to be able to share a rectory together. At the same time, this also allows Fr. Miller to come back to his Corpus Christi parish home as a place to retreat from the big city of Peoria!

As I have mentioned, I have a lot to learn! Life as a new priest is quite a learning curve. Life as a new pastor is an even larger one! I will certainly rely on the wisdom and knowledge of my brother priests to understand life as a pastor. I promise I will do everything I can to be a good spiritual father to you. I love being a priest and I am blessed to be yours.

I am excited as your priest to facilitate further opportunities for everyone to encounter the person of Jesus Christ, to grow daily as his intentional disciples, and to witness as missionary disciples to the power of Jesus Christ and the difference he is making in our lives. This is a vibrant community and I am excited to grow with all of you.

My email is fatherleebrokaw@gmail.com so please reach out to me anytime. Know of my prayers for all of you!

In the heart of Christ,

Fr. Lee Brokaw
